My profile is available on my main blog page so I think I will not repeat myself.
My wife and I have been getting fatter and more out of shape each year for quite some time. We no longer work hard for a living and we are getting older. Trouble is we keep eating like we are still working. Not very smart.
We have made several halfhearted attempts at fixing this but none have lasted more than a few days. We feel lazier and hurt more each day.
Last night Linda sent me a link to the "Body for Life" website with the tagline "interested?" In a word, yes. So..... here we go!
Perhaps by my posting this blog I can keep up my resolve and enthusiasm and thereby help keep Linda focused.
It is unlikely that I will write everyday but I will write as often as I can.
Starting stats:
Me, 6' 2" and 230 pounds. Bad right knee and no wind. Weak with an estimated body fat content of 30%. Stiff and definitely non-athletic.
Linda, 5'7" and 265 pounds. No wind and stiff. Also non-athletic.
As we drive truck longhaul, we have a very weird schedule and little to no access to gyms. We eat too often in truckstops and have not used much discipline in the past. This will be test of will.
That is it for now.

I'm sure that can be tough. Try repalcing 1 meal a day w/ fruit. Get rid of any sodas etc. that have calories. Go for some walks when you can. That alone can make a big difference.
